My Story

I got my real estate license in 2007 and practiced for a year while still working my part-time job at the hospital.  In a family of five, that part-time job gave us health insurance, safety.  Then my husband at the time got a promotion and we decided it would be best for me to focus on real estate wholeheartedly. Within a matter of months, I was on my own. My boys were between ten and sixteen years old at the time and after one year with little success in real estate, suddenly all the pressure was on me to provide.

I was beyond overwhelmed and at times the pressure to succeed felt crushing. Failing was not an option, my children were relying on me. Fortunately, my parents and I are very close, and they were a huge help looking after my sons during those first few years. I ended up at a brokerage with amazing people. I became fast friends with several of my coworkers and with their compassionate understanding and support, they helped me through some of the toughest moments.

Another huge help was my faith. I have always had a strong faith in the Lord that He would provide. Through some miracle from God, even though I often did not know how I would make ends meet, I always did. All the bills were paid, food was on the table, and my children never knew the tension of financial stress while I worked as hard as I could to succeed. Of course, the stress was there, accompanying me many days but I began to move past it.  Over the years, I have discovered how powerful it is to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Sure, there were awful days along the way, but I realized that worrying does not accomplish anything.

All those years ago, I decided that I was going to win. It felt like the cards were stacked against me, but I found a fire inside that I never knew I had. No matter what, I refused to let anyone keep me down. Of course, some days I felt like I was losing.  However, each morning I reset the score. For some, it can feel impossible to get past those setbacks and move forward. For me, there was no alternative.

I am grateful for the journey that led me here and every difficult and wonderful moment along the way because without following that path, I would not be the same woman I am today. What I am most proud of is my family. I have three wonderful sons, a daughter in law, and five grandchildren.  All my children and grandchildren know that no matter what, I will always be there for them the same as I always have been.  The people in my life, family, friends, clients, matter more to me than anything else.

Whenever I am not working, I enjoy traveling and spending time with family. My favorite part of being  a REALTOR® is getting to know my clients as we set off down the road to achieve their dreams.

Wherever you are on your real estate journey, you are dealing with a lot of change. Change can be stressful and often buying or selling a home can be one of the most nerve-wracking experiences in a person's life. I bring a calming effect to my clients' transactions. You have enough to deal with already, so I will be there to listen whenever you need me.  I put in the work and know how to get things done no matter how tough the market is. I became a REALTOR® in 2007 right in the middle of the recession and can show you how to make the best long-term decision to benefit you.  I am Texas born and raised and know these communities. Not only will I find you the perfect property, but I will also find the perfect location to fit your lifestyle. When all is said and done at the end of the day, I will still be there. After the first transaction together, I will continue to support you and your path to success as your lifelong REALTOR®.  It's Your Move...
